Hello! Its been quite some time since I last played but I am getting back into Minecraft and would love to be a part of this community again. Part of the reason I stopped playing is due to me getting some new responsibilities that prevented me from playing as much as I'd like. I travel quite a bit for work so I bought a Switch. I also bought the Minecraft for the Switch and, in doing some research, learned everything about the Bedrock editions.

I was wondering... has there been any talk of opening up a New Eden server running Bedrock? It seems that Microsoft wants to phase out the Java edition eventually so I think it is definitely worth considering. Not to mention, for many people, the Bedrock editions offer so much more flexibility with cross-play. Not only can you cross-play between the Switch, Xbox One and Windows 10 versions but also Android and iOS which would allow people to hop on and play basically anywhere they have a stable enough connection. More platforms will likely be added in the future, as well.

I know I would play a lot more if I could hop on New Eden on my Switch, computer and phone/tablet.

In the meantime, a secondary question: Can anyone recommend a bedrock server/realm until we get a New Eden one? (I don't think this counts as advertising a different server considering it is a different game engine for now laugh)

Just found out that realms are limited to 11 people max on at once and user servers are only supported by the mobile and Windows 10 editions. sad

Microsoft y u do dis?

In that case, I'm still interested in joining a realm for the flexibility it offers. 11 people on at once still sounds like a good time to me.
